Below you will find Green People Cleaning’s Janitorial Checklist. This is a standardized list and completely customizable to your facility’s specific needs.

Commercial Cleaning Checklist

DUSTING

  • Empty all trash, recycle and shredded material. Put in outside bins.
  • Clean inside and outside of trash bins.
  • Reline trash bins.
  • Brush down cobwebs as needed.
  • Wipe down baseboards as needed.
  • Dust ceiling fans as needed.
  • Dust blinds and shutters as needed.
  • Clean all window sills.
  • Clean all glass and mirrors within reach.
  • Vacuum and or wipe down furniture as needed.
  • Shake out, vacuum or wipe down mats.
  • Dust all objects and surfaces incl. underneath and behind all objects.
  • Wipe tops, sides and backs of all TV’s and computers.
  • DO NOT TOUCH TV OR COMPUTER SCREENS!
  • Clean switchplates and outlets.
  • Polish all stainless steel items.
  • Wipe down stair railings
  • Wipe down doors and door frames.
  • Wipe down laundry/utility room and wash sink.
  • Vacuum all carpets and area rugs.
  • Vacuum and mop all hard floors.

BATHROOMS

  • Scrub, rinse and dry sinks and counters.
  • Clean and/or polish fixtures.
  • Wipe down all items on the counters.
  • Clean mirrors.
  • Scrub inside bowl of toilets and urinals.
  • Wipe down outside of toilets and urinals.
  • *under lid, bowl and behind
  • Scrub, rinse and dry showers including doors, tracks and exterior.
  • Wipe down cabinets.
  • Wipe down doors and door frames.
  • Clean switch plates and outlets.
  • Wipe down blinds and shutters including window sills.
  • Restock paper products.
  • Clean baseboards.
  • Dust all decorative items.
  • Clean inside and outside of trash bins.
  • Vacuum and mop floor.

KITCHEN

  • Make mop water.
  • Shake out, wipe or vacuum mats.
  • Wash all removable parts from coffee pot.
  • Empty crumb tray from toaster/toaster oven and wash.
  • Remove water tray from refigerator and wash.
  • Wipe out shelves in refrigerator.
  • Hand wash burner covers, grease plates and knobs on stoves.
  • Hand wash or put dishes in dishwasher.
  • Wipe down blinds, shutters and window sills.
  • Wipe down all appliances including top, sides and doors.
  • Clean switch plates and outlets.
  • Wipe top edge and front of counters.
  • Wipe out and reline trashcans.
  • Vacuum and mop floor.
